1 to 2 Months old
For an infant the Floor Nanny™ provides a comfortable environment for the baby to be propped on the sides for a new view of their surroundings. They can also be laid, face up, in the center recessed area. The Floor Nanny™ provides the infant with the secure feeling of being nestled.

2 to 7 Months Old
As the baby grows they can be propped over the sides of the Floor Nanny™ for tummy time. Children need tummy time to help develop abdominal muscles, upper body strength, and head and neck control needed for crawling. Tummy time on the Floor Nanny™ may help reduce the risk of Flat Head Syndrome. Continuous pressure on the back of baby's head could lead to this syndrome.

The raised sides also give the baby assistance when learning to sit up. Place a favorite toy in the Floor Nanny™ with the baby to encourage baby to sit up. The Floor Nanny™ provides an area for babies to learn to sit up safely on their own without fear of them continuously hitting their head on the floor. Parents can be assured that the soft sides will provide a nice cushion for the head when baby topples over.

8 months to toddler
As baby continues to grow the Floor Nanny™ is large enough to provide movement within the center. Once the baby becomes mobile the Floor Nanny™ is low enough to the ground to allow movement in and out of the product. Even into the toddler years the soft sides provide a comfy place for resting, reading, and watching TV.
